A cabbage roll that hides juicy flavored beef, all topped with a savory sauce!
- Cut the base of the cabbage and cook cabbage in boiling water for 8 minutes. Set aside.
- Combine the hamburger with salt, pepper, onion, nutmeg, eggs and soaked bread. Form the beef mixture into ball shape. Double wrap cabbage leaves around hamburger ball. Wrap each cabbage ball with bacon.
- Add olive oil in a skillet. Add onion, carrot, celery root, tomato paste, cabbage water and cook until softened. Season with salt and pepper and pour the vegetables and sauce over the cabbage ball. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Drain some of the liquid back into the skillet. Add corn starch water. Stir well until thickened. Pour it over the cabbage ball.
